The Akashic Records are records of your soul\u2019s energy and hold the key to who you really are. But sometimes, what your soul is saying is overshadowed by another internal energy, the Ego.<\/p>\n

The Ego can be the toughest cat to wrangle. If you\u2019re not careful it will reveal its incredibly sharp claws and take no prisoners.<\/p>\n

What is Ego?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Have you ever heard that little voice inside that you don\u2019t quite recognize? The one that feeds into your inner mean girl, but when you listen and operate from that place, you\u2019re left feeling icky and unrecognizable.<\/p>\n

The ego is that part of us that seeks approval. The one that will stop at nothing, trampling things in the way to get what we (think we) want.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s the part of us that\u2019s constantly seeking approval outside of ourselves, which puts us in a place of lack.<\/p>\n

How To Identify When The Ego Takes Over<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Take a look at the way you operate in a social setting. Do you often feel you are better than others, looking down on them or feeling pity?<\/p>\n

On the flip side, do you often feel like others are looking at you in this way?<\/p>\n

The Ego (aka \u201cEdging God Out\u201d) shows up when we are feeling confident an,d also when we feel low. The Ego can be both the angel and the devil on your shoulder.<\/p>\n

Basically, the Ego is the first voice we hear in our heads when we\u2019ve messed up and when we\u2019re on fire.<\/p>\n

The Ego reacts to what\u2019s going on in front of us, whether through fear, arrogance, pity or the like. Those I\u2019m not good enough or I\u2019m better than anyone else thoughts are the Ego\u2019s best work.<\/p>\n

The difficulty presents itself when we start listening to the Ego as truth and can no longer hear our soul guiding us.<\/p>\n

What is Soul Guidance?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You know that feeling you have when you\u2019re doing something you enjoy, where you\u2019re so engrossed that you look at the clock and think, \u201cWhaaa, how has 4 hours gone by?!\u201d? Some people call it a \u201cflow state\u201d, others call it your \u201csoul\u2019s truth\u201d.<\/p>\n

Whatever terminology you choose, there\u2019s no denying that this childlike state of bliss occurs when we awaken the genius within, leaving us feeling fulfilled, but not riding a high (which is a game the Ego plays).<\/p>\n

How To Listen To Your Soul<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Because the soul operates from an internal knowing, a state of higher good, there is almost no time to have the Ego running stories in your head about not being good enough, or being better than everyone else.<\/p>\n

When you can truly operate from your soul\u2019s truth, things start to flow with ease.<\/p>\n

You no longer have to fight against your nature, as you\u2019re simply showing up and listening to what\u2019s in your heart. You\u2019re honoring your guidance.<\/p>\n

Each of us is born with our own truth. Our own genius. A reason we are put on this planet.<\/p>\n

Cutting out all the noise and allowing the soul to take the driver\u2019s seat gives us a chance to slow down, look inward and trust ourselves.<\/p>\n

Ways To Tap Into Your Soul’s Guidance<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If losing yourself in a flow state is a distant memory, don\u2019t worry, there are ways to tap in again and reignite your soul\u2019s calling. Below are a few that many of my clients find very helpful.<\/p>\n

1. MEDITATION<\/strong><\/p>\n

The simplest, cheapest way to tap back into yourself, without involving anyone else. You can literally meditate anywhere, anytime.<\/p>\n

If you need to take a few minutes to reground, meditation is accessible to you, so long as you have an understanding of your needs to reach a state of silence within your own mind.<\/p>\n

This can take some practice if you\u2019re new, but like any muscle, meditation strengthens the more you practice.<\/p>\n
