Why Passive Aggressiveness is Counter-Productive<\/h2>\n

Passive-aggressive (PA) behavior is when a person refuses to confront his feelings and chooses to hide behind sarcasm, silent treatment, criticism, deliberate mistakes, etc.<\/p>\n

It can be quite infuriating dealing with people like this, even draining. And it\u2019s not only the people who need to deal with them that get frustrated.<\/p>\n

The passive-aggressive people are also affected in a negative way by how they (don\u2019t) deal with issues.<\/p>\n

One may think that they are doing less damaged by not taking things seriously or by making snide remarks here and there, but they are doing themselves a disservice by not addressing feelings head-on.<\/p>\n

Nobody benefits from this type of behavior. Here are some reasons why:<\/p>\n

Issues don\u2019t get resolved<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When you avoid confrontation at all costs and you delay the inevitable, you never really get to tackle the heart of the matter.<\/p>\n

Nothing truly gets resolved because you keep sweeping under the rug and shelving your problems for a later time when you feel like picking up the book and sifting through it, which is almost never.<\/p>\n

Frustration all around<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Having a passive-aggressive person in your life is a vicious cycle of frustration. If you\u2019re the PA type, you will always get frustrated at how people fall short of your expectations.<\/p>\n

You will be stuck assuming that your friends and family should know how you\u2019re going to feel or react to something when you haven\u2019t actually voiced out your feelings about it.<\/p>\n

This also leads to others\u2019 frustration towards you. You\u2019ll come off as somebody very hard to please and nobody wants to be around someone like that.<\/p>\n

Resentment grows<\/strong><\/h3>\n

When you\u2019re PA, you hide all your anger inside and wait for it to retreat into the background.<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t necessarily mean you got over it or that you have forgiven your offender.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re nursing your anger, then you will probably take such good care of it that it will fester until it takes over your relationship and destroys it.<\/p>\n

Anger is something that you need to deal with constructively. Bottling it up inside will not rid you of the feeling, but will build your resentment.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t get what you want<\/strong><\/h3>\n

If you\u2019re passive-aggressive, you\u2019ll tend to feel entitled or that people or the universe knows exactly what they owe you.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t work that way.<\/p>\n

For you to get exactly what you want, in order for you to manifest your desires, to have your expectations met, you need to learn to voice it out.<\/p>\n

The universe is not going to read your mind. If you want it, you\u2019ve got to direct your attitude towards ways by which to achieve it.<\/p>\n

Any way you look at it, passive-aggressiveness is a counterfeit solution to life\u2019s problems. If you want something, you need to work at getting it.<\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t just apply to manifesting your dreams of wealth, health, and love, but also in improving yourself and your relationship with others.<\/p>\n
