Today I want to talk about a success principle that\u2019s not so new. But people take it for granted.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to know what makes people comfortable, keep reading.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They\u2019re the same thing.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s only after you\u2019ve stepped outside your comfort zone that you begin to change, grow, and transform.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You see, we love comfort.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

We love what\u2019s comfortable, and that\u2019s what we grew up with.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Our parents made sure that we\u2019re comfortable. Friends made sure that we\u2019re comfortable. We made sure that we\u2019re comfortable. We\u2019ll do anything to be comfortable.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And we\u2019ll do anything to be successful too, but…\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

That doesn\u2019t seem to add up.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Comfort and success don\u2019t go well hand-in-hand. Well, it might seem like it as we can see with successful people.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They drive nice cars; they go on luxurious vacations. Their days don\u2019t need them to set an alarm and wake up before 9 am or there\u2019ll be some consequences at work.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

They have a nice home. They can do whatever they want, whenever they want it. And it doesn\u2019t matter how much something is.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Isn\u2019t that great? Isn\u2019t that the definition of comfort?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It can be.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

But it didn\u2019t always been that way.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you can trace their history, you\u2019ll discover there had been a lot of uncomfortable roads they had to go through.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There were a lot of tough decisions they had to make, there was a lot of risks they had to face.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, that\u2019s uncomfortable.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You see, one of the biggest, and most important aspect of growth is discomfort.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Why? There\u2019s no growth inside your comfort zone.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Read this and drill this down your mind.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you truly want success as much as you think you do, remember this:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you\u2019re currently comfortable with where you are and with what you\u2019re doing, you\u2019re not growing.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Got that?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It simply means that if you\u2019re not experiencing any discomfort right now, you\u2019re basically stuck.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

So, does that mean you\u2019ll go looking for discomfort all the time? No.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You\u2019ll know when to go for it, and when to rest.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How? Listen to your intuition. That may be another article of itself but that\u2019s the only sure way to know you\u2019re guided.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

There might be decisions you had to face before, a choice you had to make where one choice is scarier than the rest.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And you get that nagging feeling that this scary choice is the right choice.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Two things can happen:\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

First, you choose the way that requires less work, less mind power, less stress. The comfortable route. No growth, no pain, no gain.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Second, you jumped and chose the way that required work, time, mind power, and stress. This is the growth route. You felt discomfort, but I\u2019m sure you learned something along the way. And that\u2019s important.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Now, you want success. Imagine this with me, imagine you\u2019re where you want to be. You\u2019re successful and happy. You\u2019re rich and confident. People respect you.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Look in the mirror and look at yourself. Is that person the same person as you in the present?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think so, because if it does, then why are you not successful right now?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It\u2019s because the person you are right now, and the successful person you want to be, is not the same person.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The person you want to be is someone who has grown enough to tackle the challenges that he\/she may face. It requires someone who\u2019s bold enough to do life-changing decisions. And someone who takes calculated risks.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

In short, the person you want to be is a person who is comfortable with discomfort.\u00a0 And you should be that person.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How to Be Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

How?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Trust Your Intuition\u00a0<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

As I\u2019ve said before, there might be times when you had to make a choice, a scary one, or a comfortable one.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

You are a person who knows you should grow. That\u2019s why you\u2019re here. The only thing you need to do is to step up and actually do something.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Pick the scary choice. Your ego wouldn\u2019t like it, your ego likes to keep you safe. But your intuition and your true self will love it. Because choosing the uncomfortable route…<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With enough caution and risk management..<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Will make you grow as a person.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

And you will understand how it happens if you\u2019re mindful.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What else can you improve?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This idea of leaving your comfort zone…<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It is not only applicable when you\u2019re chasing financial success.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It also applies to when you want to improve other areas of your life. Such as your health or your relationships.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to be healthy, you need to be uncomfortable. Because you\u2019ll need to eat foods you don\u2019t like or even never eaten before. Or stop eating foods you like. You need to do some physical exercises. That\u2019s not exactly comfortable, is it?\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

If you want to make your relationship better, you need to do uncomfortable things too. You need to talk to your partner, or your child, about the things you haven\u2019t talked to before. Things you\u2019re uncomfortable to talk about.\u00a0<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

See how being uncomfortable makes you a better person?<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
