How to Keep Yourself Hopeful<\/h2>\n

In a world that is constantly testing you in more ways than one, you can\u2019t help but be brought down by tired thoughts and heavy feelings.<\/h1>\n

The world isn\u2019t always morale-friendly and raring to help you on your way, at least not 100% of the time.<\/p>\n

You will most likely get discouraged, get your ideas shot down, and sometimes even made fun of for whatever reason people find amusing.<\/p>\n

Those you thought were your friends, would turn out to be enemies, loves of your life would break your heart to pieces, and family will disappoint you from time to time.<\/p>\n

Your career could tank, your savings could be depleted.<\/p>\n

Everything is transient.<\/p>\n

They say the one thing constant is change, but there\u2019s also one component of that that\u2019s just as certain and powerful– HOPE<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

So how do you keep yourself a hopeful individual in the face of all the uncertainties?<\/p>\n

Build yourself up<\/strong><\/h3>\n

You need to work on making yourself a strong <\/strong>individual.<\/p>\n

Growing up, we were exposed to different kinds of pressure. There\u2019s the one our parent\u2019s expected of us, one with our peers, and then there\u2019s the one that our professors idealized we could be.<\/p>\n

For a while we tried to fit in.<\/p>\n

We wanted to be part of the groups we belonged to. We wanted to be accepted.<\/p>\n

And then when we began to realize more of who we really were, we rebelled, fought, clawed our way out of the mold that everyone was trying to fit us in.<\/p>\n

We wanted to gain a sense of individuality<\/strong>. We wanted freedom of expression. And we got it.<\/p>\n

But in adulthood, we discover that we\u2019re not free from the pressures, from the idealization of standards, from wanting to be accepted, yet wanting to make a mark with who we are.<\/p>\n

When we learn to integrate <\/strong>all the different aspects of our character and put it out there, when we learn to respect ourselves with all the flaws and strengths, when we have learned how to strike balances between dichotomies, and we\u2019ve garnered the courage to show exactly who we are, hopelessness will not be part of your vocabulary anymore.<\/p>\n

After you build yourself up, naturally, you\u2019ll need to…<\/p>\n

Put yourself out there<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A lot of people seem to think that keeping themselves hidden from the world, flying under the radar, and not letting people in their lives qualify as preserving themselves.<\/p>\n

In actuality, they\u2019re giving up.<\/p>\n

You can\u2019t expect the worst and hope for the best.<\/p>\n

You have to expect the best, hope for better, and always work towards the good.<\/p>\n

You need to put yourself out there to see that there\u2019s still a lot of goodness that\u2019s circulating in the world, and more importantly, that you\u2019re one of them.<\/p>\n

So offer yourself up for the taking.<\/p>\n

Fearfully, hesitantly, but wonderfully hopeful.<\/p>\n
