The Cloak of Vulnerability<\/h2>\n

Being vulnerable is often linked <\/strong>to a weakness.<\/p>\n

But it\u2019s actually a strength <\/strong>as it takes more courage to be vulnerable than to project a strength that isn\u2019t there.<\/p>\n

Fear isn\u2019t bad.<\/p>\n

Everybody has something they fear.<\/p>\n

Some are afraid of spiders, of heights, of being in large groups of people, of failing, rejection, pain.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t become less of a person for being scared. It\u2019s what you do with your fear that characterizes you.<\/h1>\n

People can be mean, they can be intolerant, and downright cruel, which makes it hard for others to show <\/strong>who they really are, what they really feel, believe, and think.<\/p>\n

We don\u2019t like exposing ourselves to criticism, to the possibility of getting hurt, and being rejected by others in any way can be painful.<\/p>\n

So a lot hide in the guise of indifference, nonchalance, or sometimes arrogance.<\/p>\n

What people fail to realize is that being vulnerable <\/strong>comes with more advantages than consequences.<\/p>\n

Below are some of the things that you can benefit from if you indulge your vulnerable side:
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

#1. You don\u2019t seek approval<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The moment you decide <\/strong>that you want to show your true self<\/strong> regardless of the cost, you will feel bolder, stronger, and freer.<\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t mean you\u2019re not afraid to be judged. I think everyone is, no matter how brave. But their judgments no longer have a hold on you.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no attempt to pretend to be who you think you should be. You\u2019re not aiming to please everyone anymore.<\/p>\n

#2. You have the freedom to explore<\/strong><\/h3>\n

To be vulnerable also gives you the freedom <\/strong>to follow where your curiosity leads. Think of it as somewhat of a naivete.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t worry so much about boundaries, about limitations.<\/p>\n

You only see the possibilities <\/strong>beyond the horizon.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re not afraid to be seen as stupid, or reckless for pursuing what your heart tells you to.<\/p>\n

#3. More opportunities open for you<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Because you see the possibilities that lie beyond the horizon, it\u2019s inevitable that people who make them vulnerable enough to explore are also the ones with whom opportunities <\/strong>are shown more.<\/p>\n

Your fear of failing<\/em> is usually the culprit in what holds you back from your potential.<\/p>\n

But if you make your peace with the possibility <\/strong>of failing at any turn, then you allow your vulnerability to work for you.<\/p>\n

#4. You notice and appreciate kindness<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Those who open themselves up to be seen just as they are, to be judged by everybody else, are usually the ones who can spot genuine <\/strong>kindness in people.<\/p>\n

They are good judges of character because they don\u2019t have blinders on, they don\u2019t attempt to please with their observations, and they see through the bull.<\/p>\n

Vulnerable people will see who else is putting themselves out there in a manner that\u2019s true <\/strong>to themselves.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not always the loudest, or the most confident-looking person who is truly proud of themselves.<\/p>\n
