Life is different for each person living it. Different cultures add to the different characters, personas, ideals, teachings, and values of each individual.<\/h1>\n

But along with those differences are similarities inserted between each of them, which makes up the complicated web of people around the world.<\/p>\n

Even though so many things are subjective, there are universal truths that everyone understands.<\/p>\n

A lot of people glorify grandiose living– owning mansions, yachts, luxury cars, private planes, etc.<\/p>\n

Affluence is what most people aspire for.<\/p>\n

The thing with that is, it\u2019s not realistic, at least not for everyone.<\/p>\n

But that\u2019s okay.<\/p>\n

People need to start zeroing-in on the more important things in life, and along with that is knowing how to live simply.<\/p>\n

Simplifying one\u2019s life is not just beneficial for that individual, it\u2019s beneficial to the people around you. But before you decide to live a simple life, you first need to define what simple means to you.<\/p>\n

Only then will you be able to define your parameters and plan accordingly.<\/p>\n

Living simply allows you to design your life the way you want to.<\/p>\n

2. Embrace change<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There\u2019s no use fighting it. It will come to you whether you like it or not.<\/p>\n

If there\u2019s something that needs to happen in your life, it will happen.<\/p>\n

The reason why people are so anxious is because they haven\u2019t made peace with the possibility of change.<\/p>\n

You won\u2019t know what it\u2019s going to be, when it\u2019s going to take place, and where you\u2019ll be at the time, but that\u2019s okay.<\/p>\n

You don\u2019t need to know everything. You have to make peace with not knowing.<\/p>\n

3. Keep yourself healthy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We often take our health for granted, especially in our youth.<\/p>\n

We gobble down junk food after junk food thinking we have a fast metabolism, diabetes doesn\u2019t run in our family, we\u2019re not prone to high-blood pressure, etc.<\/p>\n

But the fact is, it\u2019s not going to show until much later in life, when all you can do is to regret the choices you\u2019ve made in terms of food.<\/p>\n

Act now! Get yourself eating healthily and make living more enjoyable for you and your loved ones.<\/p>\n

4. Treat failure as a friend<\/strong><\/h3>\n

So what if your invention has kinks?<\/p>\n

So what if you keep switching jobs?<\/p>\n

So what if you fail a few classes?<\/p>\n

Everyone\u2019s going to fail, one way or another.<\/p>\n

You\u2019re not guaranteed success in anything, so expect to fail.<\/p>\n

Succeeding is a gift. If you get it, then rejoice, if not, try again.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s no harm in failing, only in denying that you did. That\u2019s when the learning stops.<\/p>\n

5. Give back<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It\u2019s important that in whatever you\u2019re doing, be it in your career or otherwise, that you find a way to give back to the world.<\/p>\n

Life is about connecting with people, about building a better place, leaving it in a better state than when you found it.<\/p>\n

You should make it a point to give back to your community somehow. It doesn\u2019t have to be in the form of money.<\/p>\n

Use your talents.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s all part of living with a purpose and passing on that ideal down the road.<\/p>\n

6. Release the past<\/strong><\/h3>\n

So many people live with regrets and live shackled to the past somehow. That\u2019s no way to live, my friend.<\/p>\n

You need to condition yourself to keep moving forward. There\u2019s no sense taking a step backwards and wallowing in what could have been.<\/p>\n

There\u2019s a world of what still could be right in front of you. Concentrate on that instead.<\/p>\n

7. Always choose to act<\/strong><\/h3>\n

What your life becomes is the choices in which you choose to act.<\/p>\n

Yes, it\u2019s partly your beliefs and principles, but the actions you take to stand by those things will be what matters.<\/p>\n

You need to figure out how to live authentically.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not about fitting it, or standing out just for the sake of it.<\/p>\n

You need to be authentic to what your passionate about, what you live for, what you believe in so that you can impact the world in your own way.<\/p>\n
