Almost everyone wants to stay young somehow. Women are obsessed with keeping their skin glowing and taut, while men act like boys and hold on to boyish dreams and charms alike for as long as they can.
Since the ages, people have been looking for the fountain of youth and all sorts of potions and concoctions to stop them from aging.
Even until now, I think now more than ever, people are hell bent on finding more ways to stop the gray hairs from popping or wrinkles from showing.
I’ve even heard people say they’ve stopped smiling so big to prevent the creases formed by their lips!
The problem though, is that everyone wants a quick fix. They want lotions and procedures done to get the look they want, but few are willing to do what it takes to really stay young and healthy.
As always, it’s best to resort to natural means of staying youthful. How? Here are some tips.
Possessed by processed
You need to stay far away from processed foods. They have almost no nutritional value and all calories and harmful toxins in convenient packaging.
Easy-open can? More like easy-open-door to the hospital.
Say no thanks!
No to drugs, no to alcohol!
Drug-use and alcohol abuse can really take a toll on your body. Drugs are pretty self-explanatory, but alcohol sits in a bit of a gray area.
It has its perks. Like wine can be good for the heart, some alcoholic drinks are said to improve blood flow or circulation, but the key to having alcohol in your life is to know when to draw the line.
Drinking in moderation is okay.
Alcohol has a tendency to dehydrate you, so if you want that lush, vibrant skin, you need to hold back on your alcohol consumption. Also, drinking and partying until the wee hours of the morning takes a toll on your body.
So think twice!
Au naturel
Go as natural, organic, and local as you can. Know your food, know how it’s made/grown, know how it’s prepared, and know what gets absorbed by your body.
Make sure you got all the nutrients needed for it to function at its optimum and you’re more than halfway to youthful living.
Get a move on
It can’t be said enough–exercise is really what keeps you looking and feeling young. When you exercise, it’s not just your muscles that are developed.
The endorphin released also help in keeping your emotions and mind healthy.
When you exercise, you sweat out the toxins out of your system, you help re-hydrate your body by drinking the right fluids during workouts, which helps your organs and everything else.
